Xmas - Santa Baby/Buddy

Another classic, best done by Eartha Kitt, but here's a twist: a guy singing it. Michael Buble did a kind of swing version which I think is at least interesting... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOglC5_iLJs

Xmas - Mele Kalikimaka!

This version is nice and easy to play. It is posted on Dr. Uke's site so rather than copy it, I'll just link to it. He plays it in F then in D, so it makes the short song a bit longer, enjoy!

Xmas - Baby, It's cold outside...

What did he put in her drink anyway? It was just booze. Frank Loesser used to perform it with his wife at parties, so I guess it was hardly meant to be creepy. You'll notice the "mouse" (as she is known in the original)'s only objections are what other people would think of her. The "wolf"'s arguments verge into the ridiculous "Think of my lifelong sorrow, if you got pneumonia and died". It's meant to be funny! I think they were both enjoying themselves mightily.

There are so many great versions of this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby,_It's_Cold_Outside) I love the Cerys Matthews and Tom Jones version. Then there's the latest with Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera...

Baby it's cold outside.

C  Cmaj7 C6 Cmaj7 This is just 3, 2 and 0 on the A string.

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
I really can't stay
                      But baby it's cold outside

Dm7                G7               Dm7        G7
I've got to go away
                       But baby it's cold outside

C                   Cmaj7                         C6             Cmaj7
The evening has been
Been hoping that you'd drop in

             Gm7             C7
So very nice
I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice

 F                                F7
My mother will start worry
                                 Beautiful what’s your hurry?

 Fm                                          Fm7
And father will be pacing the floor
                                                Listen to the fireplace roar

 C                            C7
So really i'd better scurry
                              Beautiful please don't hurry

     Dm7                                      G7
But maybe just a half a drink more
Put some records on while I pour

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
The neighbors might think
                                   Baby it's bad out there

Dm7                       G7               Dm7        G7
Say, what's in this drink?
No cabs to be had out there

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
I wish i knew how
Your eyes are like starlight now

             Gm7                      C7
To break the spell
I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell

 F                                F7
I ought to say, "No, no, no sir"
Mind if I move in closer

Dm7                                          G7
At least i'm gonna say that i tried
What's the sense in hurtin' my pride?

 C                                    A7
I really can't stay
                    Baby don't hold out

                   D7   G7  C
Ah, but it's cold outside

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
I simply must go
                      Baby, it's cold outside

Dm7                G7               Dm7        G7
The answer is no
                       Ooh darling, it's cold outside

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
This welcome has been
I'm lucky that you dropped in

                     Gm7             C7
So nice and warm
Look out the window at that storm

 F                                F7
My sister will be suspicious
                                      Man, your lips look delicious

 Fm                                          Fm7
My brother will be there at the door
                                                   Waves upon a tropical shore

 C                                        C7
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious
                                              Gosh your lips are delicious

         Dm7                                      G7
Well maybe just a cigarette more
                                                 Never such a blizzard before

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
I've got to go home
Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there

Dm7                       G7               Dm7        G7
Say, lend me a comb
It's up to your knees out there

C                   Cmaj7            C6               Cmaj7
You've really been grand
I thrill when you touch my hand

             Gm7                         C7
But don't you see
How can you do this thing to me?

 F                                F7
There's bound to be talk tomorrow
Think of my life long sorrow

 Dm7                                          G7
At least there will be plenty implied
If you caught pneumonia and died

 C                                    A7
I really can't stay
                    Get over that hold out

                   D7               Db7     C
Ah, but it's cooooooold out       side

G7 C
