It's almost August, so here's an autumn song to start practicing.
This isn't the Ed Sheeran version or Paolo Nutini. It is the jazz standard with 2 lovely chord progressions that are quite easy when you get the hang of them.
Here's Edith Paif's version and here's one with Glen Rose showing how to play it. Buy his jazz book to say thanks :-)
This version is easy to follow when learning it.
3333 2333 3555 3335
The falling leaves drift by the window
2333 2323 0211
The autumn leaves of red and gold
3333 2333 3555 3335
I see your lips, the summer kisses
2333 2323 0211
The sun-burned hands I used to hold
2333 2323 0211
Since you went away the days grow long
3333 2333 3555
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
2333 2323 0211
But I miss you most of all my darling
2333 2323 0211
When autumn leaves start to fall
3333 2333 3555 3335
C'est une chanson, qui nous ressemble
2333 2323 0211
Toi tu m'aimais et je t'aimais
3333 2333 3555 3335
Nous vivions tous, les deux ensemble
2333 2323 0211
Toi que m'aimais moi qui t'aimais
2333 2323 0211
Mais la vie sépare ceux qui s'aiment
3333 2333 3555
Tout doucement sans faire de bruit
2333 2323 0211
Et la mer efface sur le sable
2333 2323 0211
les pas des amants désunis
2333 2323 0211
Since you went away the days grow long
3333 2333 3555
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
2333 2323 0211
But I miss you most of all my darling
2333 2323 0211
When autumn leaves start to fall
